Discover the city 0.1...

In the last of the 19th century Catalonia underwent a great cultural renewal, reflected, above all, in literature, music, plastic arts and architecture. This movement, called the Renaixença, promoted the Catalan language as a cultural language, which up until this time had been confined to the privacy of the home. Barcelona the splendor that city witnessed towards the end of the 19th century gave rise to the creation of numerous institutions related to industry, such as schools of arts and crafts.
The town planner planned a city without a geographic centre so that of its inhabitants could enjoy all the services that a city has to ofter.
The first parade is La Rambla del Raval an exclusive route through old town of the city to discover its art and culture. La Rambla del Raval was projected from the need to create new public spaces that break the high density of the urban fabric of the Raval, and throughout this decade has gradually become the vital center of the new district. It's a great space of more than 200 meters long to 56 in width. Els comerciants the Rambla del Raval, Fundació Tot Raval, the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and Ciutat Vella Districte organized a series of activities all year.
